Every good quest has a few ground rules, and these are ours for using the Side Quest Studios website and ordering from us.
Accepting these terms
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Shipping Policy, Returns & Exchanges policy and Privacy Policy. Quest Guild members also agree to the Quest Guild Rewards Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who we are
Side Quest Studios (formerly SQiCreations on Etsy) is a one-person small business run by Geo in Warner Robins, Georgia, USA. Side Quest Studios is a trading name of Side Quest Innovations LLC, a Georgia limited liability company.
Handmade products
- Every item is handmade and 3D printed to order, so slight variations are normal and make each piece unique.
- Photos are illustrative. Your item may not look exactly like the photos, and colors can look different on different screens.
- Listed sizes and measurements are approximate.
Made-to-order timelines
Items are made after you order, so delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Most US orders arrive in about 1–3 weeks. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Prices, payment and taxes
- All prices are in US dollars (USD). Prices can change, but you pay the price shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe Checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Only one discount code can be used per order.
- Sales tax: Georgia sales tax is calculated and added at checkout for orders shipping within Georgia. Orders shipping to other states have no sales tax added at checkout; where a state requires it, you may owe use tax directly. If we register in more states, we'll update this page.
Fan content and trademarks
- RuneScape-inspired items are fan-made under Jagex's Fan Content Policy. Side Quest Studios is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex Ltd.
- RuneScape and all other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
- Our own photos, writing and original designs belong to Side Quest Studios. Please ask before reusing them.
Party hats, amulets, Marks of Grace and similar pieces are fan-made tributes to games we love. Side Quest Studios is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or specifically approved by Jagex Ltd. RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are trademarks of Jagex Ltd. We make these by hand in small numbers as fan content, under Jagex's Fan Content Policy, and if Jagex asks us to change or stop anything, we will.
Safety
- Our items are made from PLA, which can soften in high heat. Keep them out of hot cars and away from heat sources.
- Points on party hats and keychains can be sharp. Handle them with care.
- Our items are collectibles, wearables and props, not toys. Keep them away from small children, since small parts and cords can be hazardous.
- NFC tags can be read by any phone that taps them, so don't program anything private.
Digital downloads (coming soon)
When you buy a digital 3D model, you're buying a license to use the files, not ownership of the design.
- Files are for personal, non-commercial use only.
- You may not share, redistribute or resell the files.
- You may not sell prints made from our files without our written permission.
- Downloads are non-refundable once downloaded, unless a file is defective or not as described.
Your licence: buying a digital model gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download it and print it for yourself, including as a gift. You may not resell or share the files, pass them to anyone else, upload them to another model site, or print items from them to sell. Want to print and sell pieces from one of our models? Email us and we'll talk about a commercial licence.
Custom commissions
We take custom commissions for cosplay, prototyping, tabletop and 3D modeling projects.
- Quotes are estimates until we both agree to the project details in writing.
- Custom work requires a deposit before we start, quoted per project and at least 20% of the total to cover materials. The exact figure depends on the cost, timeframe and complexity of the piece, and we agree it in writing with you before any work begins. The deposit covers materials already bought, so once we've started it is non-refundable; the balance is due before we ship.
- By sending reference files, you confirm you have the right to share them with us.
- We may decline any commission request.
- You own the finished physical piece. We keep ownership of the 3D files, models and design work behind it, and we may reuse our own techniques and parts on later projects.
- We may photograph finished commissions and show them in our portfolio and on social media. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't — for a gift or a surprise, say — and we'll keep it private.
Quest Guild
Quest Guild membership, Quest Points, rewards and ranks are covered by our Quest Guild Rewards Terms.
Limitation of liability
We're a small, one-person shop, and we stand behind our work as described in our policies. To the extent the law allows:
- Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for damage caused by misuse, high heat or normal wear and tear.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under law that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
